John has farmed Allanhill as an arable business for over 30 years.  He diversified into game farming, supplying shooting estates, in the early 1980s and then moved into soft fruit production in 1995.

Phoebe first joined the business in 2020, and after travelling and working in Africa and Australia, she took on the role of Soft Fruit Manager in 2024. She oversees all aspects of fruit production as well as sales, operations and planning.

Graham joined the team at Allanhill in 2001, previously working on another fruit farm in Fife. Graham assists the Soft Fruit Manager in the everyday management of labour and oversees all aspects of irrigation and fertigation of the strawberry crops.

After working on several fruit farms around the country, Carlos joined Allanhill in 2014. Originally from Portugal, Carlos now manages the Tunnel Team, responsible for ensuring all of the tunnel operations are efficient and working to a tight schedule.

Sorin is from Romania. He arrived at Allanhill in 2015 as a picker, returning the following year to help plant the strawberry crop before joining the harvest supervising team. In 2017 he was promoted to assistant Harvest Manager. From August 2020 he accepted the Harvest Manager role and is now in charge of harvesting all the strawberries with the help of his team of supervisors and up to 400 pickers!

Malgorzata (Gosia) first came to the farm from Poland in 2011 as a picker and kept returning each year. In 2015 she started working in the packhouse. Over the next few years Gosia worked her way up through the packhouse as a QC, supervisor and then becoming the Packhouse Manager in 2022.

Irek is Polish and came as a picker in 2010. He became a Harvest Supervisor, then was promoted to Campsite Manager in 2015, responsible for accommodation, induction training and recruitment.

Ventsi is Bulgarian, and came to the farm as a picker in 2007. She has experienced many roles on the farm including Packhouse Manager for two seasons. Now Ventsi is office-based, managing the accounts for the business.

Mira arrived on the farm from Bulgaria in 2012 to pick strawberries. She returned in 2013 to work in the Farm Shop, returning every year before going back to Bulgaria at the end of the 2017 season. Mira returned in 2020 and took up roles supervising in the packhouse and on the field harvesting. In 2022 Mira started the role as Compliance Manager, responsible for ensuring the farm successfully completes numerous audits including Red Tractor, BRCGS, Ethical and specific customer compliance. She also assists with Accounts and Payroll.
